Wouldn't it be great if it was possible to stream files to the tvix using real live streaming protocols like UDP and RTP using software like vlc.

I mean real streaming should be live streaming.

Currently I am using an old pc that captures dvb-t channels and stream them around my local network. It would be so great if I could use the m-5000 to show these streams and maybe even record/timeshift them

But I guess I will never get the flexibility with my hd-m5000a.

There is an add on for turning the 5000 into a recorder.
Don't think it will help for the streaming part although there is software that exists for such purposes...

Never paid much attention to it and probably never will...
Sinply doesn't sound like "fun" at all using a PC to stream...

Hi-Jack, do you mean "There will be" rather then "There is". I have been looking for this add on without success. If it is available please let me know where to get one.

This will make this great device into a really fantastic one.

Maybe its not that fun to use a pc to stream. But creating a IPTV network for several rooms/appartments is great fun :-D

And the DVB-t add on seems a bit pricey since I am already streaming the DVB transport streams using my existing equipment and a 30 euro capture card.
