Is it only sigma based players that cant handle rips from the DVP group? It plays but has a very blocky picture. There isnt used any gmc,q-pel or b-vop so i wonder what cause it.

What codec ? I only had such problems with GMC or DivX 3.11 or broken AVIs .

We made notice of this and will contact KiSS about it after the next FW is released. My opinion is there's not enough resources free to run latest Xvid good enough and with new FW this could be improved.

Also the DP-558 should have no trouble with it cause of the stronger chip.
Let's wait and see, then act :-)

doubt that a bit, cause the other scene groups (brutus, dvl, deity) use the same codec xvid 1.03, and their releases play just fine

Then it still can be settings used on the movies that eat resources.
Have to wait and see.

I tried some of these releases on the new DVD-P244 from samsung and they seem to block also.

I made a lot of XviD 1.0.x encodes and they all play just fine.

The only thing I can think of is that this DVP group uses custom quntization matrix - a lot of players have problems with that , especially MTK.

Tested this one:
Man.On.Fire.DVDRiP.XViD-DvP

After 10 seconds of blocky playing and skipping, the player froze, and only removing the power cord couldt remove the image left on screen.
(player was disconected priore to testing)

Nfo info from the release:
Format........: NTSC
Bitrate.........: 1204
Resolution...: 576 x 240
Audio Bitrate: 128 VBR

Tested this one afterwards (removed cord prior to tesing to):
Kill.Bill.Volume.2.DVDRip.XviD-DiAMOND
Film playes fine, excelent quality, and even fast forward works

Nfo info from the release:
ViDEO : 972 kbps xvid
AUDiO : 448 kbps AC3
RESOLUTiON : 640x272

Well, this forum is not ment for trading or other such things, but i like to think that there still is freedom of speech, so thats is why you can mention those kind of things, just like every other thing that is not legal but still in the spirit of the forum.

Thank god it is still not illigal to mention those kind of things.

Btw, this is my personal oppinion just so everyone knows

Pps. Is alle your movies legal ???
