Hi all,

The new EM8634 players have changed some things to have better
playback which now requires also all software apps to be updated with the
new system to be compatible with the latest generation of Syabas players.
The changes are available and development can take place in direct link
with Syabas contacts in order to update Wizd.

Only problem?
Both Jib and Kevin are far too busy at the moment to work on that so we
are looking for scene developers willing to invest time and skills in lifting
Wizd to the next generation...

Do you have the skills and are you willing to put your time and knowledge
into the scene and keeping Wizd one of the major relases out there for
Syabas players? Then get in touch with us and join the project Wizd
development team.

Enjoy
Hi-Jack

Please enlighten me

I thought the NMT players whould play there data from SMB shares and the old style (http streaming/upnp av) would not be nesscesarry

It will play over SMB indeed. Some people still want the uPnP options which
are also integrated... There also will be diskless NMT's for which wizd can
mean a good addition...

Don't forget update a version for the Mac as well.

(Sorry but I find the current mac version just a bit noob-unfriendly)

The file delete function in Wizd is unique and is definitely needed by this user.

We don't seem to get too much response for developers :-(
Guess over time it will come. We'll be patient...

Is the present wizd (v24) totally unusable with the 8634 or does it need a few more tweaks to take advantage of it's new properties?

It has a minor bug which prevents it from functioning with the EM8634... Also the browser spec has changed so it needs some tweaks...
More info from Sybas can be found on the NMT forum.
