This is the second release of my modified version of the official 1.3.55 firmware.
DViCO has yet again caused problems for owners of Korean units, by preventing the 'XML hack' that I used in previous releases.
I have therefore developed a different method for setting the language, and embedded the functionality in my tvixconfig tool.
The web configuration interface has also been updated, by including a drop down menu where language can be selected.
Currently supported languages are:
- English
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Russian
- Chinese
Language can of course also be specified from the command line by executing tvixconfig directly:

root@TViX:~$ tvixconfig lang english
TViXConfig by Petter Wahlman, aka BadEIP
version: 1.3.55
reboot to activate the change.

Fipd - the daemon responsible for allowing non-DViCO writes to the TViX display (RSS feeds etc.) has been updated to display the clock.
To enable fipd, uncomment the # before this line in /mnt/jffs2_apps/tvix/main:

#/mnt/jffs2_apps/tvix/main_exec /mnt/jffs2_apps/tvix/opentvix/usr/sbin/fipd &
