I was wandering if the dune hd supports BD-9?
(blu ray on a DVD9).
Can you test this Hijack?

NO, as I don't have a BD-9 disk... :-)
It will likely support it as it can read dvd's and if it can read BDMV folders, it will laso see the dvd added as a data source and read it... Send me all your BD-9 disks for testing purposes with Dutch subtitles :-)

You can make your own BD-9 from mkv files (for example) with tsmuxer.
I have made several BD-9 discs for a friend with a blu-ray player (from MKV rips).
You can ad your own chapters and subtitles.....works real nice.

From what I know there are a lot of disks like this sold for pennies as "BD" in china and east asia ...

And even that's long. 20-30 minutes of HQ.
Too much for me.....

A lot of the BD rips peeps download are downsampled, you'd be amazed how shitty some of them look but at least they can say it Full HD even though it looks like VHS

Blu-Ray format allows other than 1080p resolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc). For reduced to 1280x720 or 1440x720 it still could be of good quality and could fit in DVD9.

Yep but Marc1968 is right there are a lot crappy quality repacked MKVs on torrent sites, even while they called "BD" you can notice mpeg squares during playback and they are not sharp.
