TV recordings only in Dolby Digital 1.0?!

All my tv recordings are only in dolby digital 1.0. Is that normal? I hope not. I couldn't find a option to change the audio setting for the tv recordings. Can anybody help me?

Have exactly the same problem. Alle recordings is only mono. I have tryed sources from the internal tuner and the external S-video input with the same results.
If anyone (HI Jack?) can confirm it's not possible to record with stereo, J belive it's importenet to get it added to the bug list so it can be solved as quick as possible.

Is it 100% certain that the DP-558 has a stereo (Nicam) tuner? Can't recall that being listed anywhere. Even worse, live TV sounds very much like mono to me! Please tell me I'm wrong. :?:

it sounds for me like mono too but i'm not sure. i can confirm that it sounds very different watching tv with my tv set.
