Your article (http://kb.promise.com/article.aspx?id=10154) explains how and why there are permission issues under the Mac OS when new files are created. This work around only applies to new folders created with the new unmask settings in place but not existing folders on the NAS - This leads me to a few questions:
1) Is there an estimated date at which you are looking to release the SR6 for the NS4300N?
2) Is there a way that I can reset folder and file permissions using Windows that will allow me read and write access to the files and folders that I created under Mac OS?
3) Do you expect that the SR6 will allow the moving of files from one folder to another (Downloads -> Videos) without going through a copy and delete function? [Currently the files can only be moved from one file to another within the same directory without the copy process being initiated]
4) Can a telnet session be used to properly set all the folder and file permissions correctly?
