Hi,

Im a little new to NMT's in general, but having had a look, the kaiboer k200 looks like something i want. The questions i have are

1. can i run this without a hard disk and play videos directly off my existing SMB shares?

2. Are there any video formats that it is likely to have issue with?

3. Any pitfalls of general issues i should be aware of?

thanks,

raph

1 - Yes
2 - Not really, a lot will work fine however don't expect 100%
3 - There always are, and the severity depends on your usage... :-)

Bite the bullit... :-)
There's a lot of discussions on the forums about the player menu, hard drive use etc... as a streamer, you won't come across these and if you do eventually, you can find info about proper use and what to expect on these forums.

thanks for the reply :D

essentially, i use an old laptop with ubuntu and xbmc currently, but its old and slowly dying, so i figure i may be better off switching it out, and a NMT looked like a good idea.
