I am running the BD FW for the first time, the folder I have on my hard drive looks and plays excellently so far...

my problem is...as soon as i hit the 'BDMV' folder while browsing, the tvix autoplays it, and it automatically goes into the special features, and I cannot figure out how to get back to the MAIN movie menu to watch w/o going to special features...auto start is off already, so not sure what I am missing here...is this something I/We have to live with with some movies, or am I not doing something right...

the menus IN the special features work, which is nice, such as scene selection, audio, subtitles, etc...i just have no option from the options listed to go back to the MAIN movie menu and choose to play it instead...

If you want to go back the main menu, just press button 'menu' on the remove controller.

so...i understand the above instructions...

some one feel free to check my movie if they have it, its a straight BD rip of Wall-E

so...my movie automatically starts WITH the audio commentary...when i hit menu, all i have are the options to change subtitles, audio tracks, and scenes FOR THE audio commentary ONLY...

I can find no way to go back to the main/master menu/top menu to select the movie itself and NOT the audio commentary...

advice??

TViX has no support for BD menus. That's why it's called BDLite support. You can only select subs and audio tracks. Nothing else.

in that case, is every disc just independent of other discs as to if the movie will automatically play, while the extras or special features or commentary will open on some other BD movies?

is it just random as to what BDs will play or not play properly?

Hi,

i have a few bluray rips (whole with file structures) on my internal hdd, and they give me the option to select audio, scene selection with a GUI.

This is not entirely correct. First of all, you can select extras and scenes as well as subs and audio tracks, just that you have to guess what is what (which, of course, is quite uncomfortable).
Secondly, there is no support for BD-J, however, there are several BDs where the TViX does support the full menu, for example "Casino Royale", "Closer" and a few more. My assumption would be that those are BDs without BD-J, could someone clarify that?
OTOH there are BDs the TViX does not properly play at all, like "Wall-E" or "Zohan" where it does not even find the correct track for playback.

It is my assumption too that BD-J is the reason for BD-Lite failing.
