Hi from France,

I have just bought a K200 (SN#: 04127B) and have updated the firmware to Version: 50-17-090204-15-KBR-406-000.

In France, DVBT audio format is Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3) on HD channels.
I record via a Hauppauge Nova T tuner but I have no audio on TV (TV linked to K200 with HDMI cable).

On Kaiboer web site I read:
Audio pass through: DTS, AC3, DTS-HD MA, DTS-HD HR, Dolby True HD, :?: Dolby Digital Plus:?:
And
K200 currently do not support DTS downmix, DTS license is on applying.
Does it mean I cannot play files with DD+ audio?
I hope not because I bought this NMT ONLY for playing TV records. (I will never use it for pictures, web, mp3, etc…)

Note: On DTS setup, I cannot select "Analog (PCM)" that is grayed.
I have heard that we can play DD+ with this option. Is it true?

" DTS license is on applying": Is DD+ concerned by this license? If yes, does it mean it will come in a very very very near future and included in a next firmware?

Sorry for all these newbie's questions.

Thanks by advance for your help
.

The Kaiboer does support DTSpassthrough however you need a receiver capable of decoding DTS in order to have sound. If the Kaiboer is connected directly to your TV without a receiver, it will likely not work...

You could check to use PCH A-110 firmware on tha Kaiboer (there are threads discussing the flash to other models) which support DTS downmix but you will risk your warranty in this case...

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

It is what I thought.

Do you think that Kaiboer will implement this features in a next firmware or definitely not?
If they will not, I will try to exchange it, if the vendor is OK…

I will probably chose a DIGITECH HDX 1000 because I have seen it supports DTS-HD Passthrough License with the last firmware. Could you confirm?

Hi,

For DD+ audio passthrough, you will need a HD audio capable Receiver even by a HD1000, and you need set the dts option to DTSHD RAW;

If you only need DTS downmix to 2channel to your TV for sound, then PCH A-110 supports that, K200's current firmware not support.

Best regards,
