Disappointed to find out that even at this stage, a simple NFS support cannot be realized!!! Utterly disappointed!

Have to agree ...
Subtitles of my divx files are gone after installing new firmware. I had no problem with the old firmware.
it appears AC Ryan caved into the pressure and released the firmware too soon and without adequate testing over a wide range of formats/files. Now they will have to scramble to get another release out quickly to fix the bugs.
Live and learn, I guess.
Got my PlayOn yesterday with the new firmware. It does have the bugs mentioned before with the subtitles and flac audio. Still i am very confident that ACRyan guys will do there best and duly deliver a proper and mature player 6 month from now.
I compare a good media player to a football team. I can have all the stars you want (R Madrid :) ) but you still have to give them time to adapt and get teamwork in order to succeed ( Barcelona)
So lets be patient (with acryan, xtreamer, C200, asus etc) and let the Messi's and Ronaldo's of the mediaworld do there magic!
One critic only. It's sad to see companies with vast experience release new products with the same bugs over and over again.... Just my two cents :!:
There is a new beta firmware since today:

For 1st generation hardware (1073DA motherboards) no DTS downmix
support until now:-(
I hear that October/November the DTS downmix should be ready and that the firmware will be universal for the two chipsets.
New Beta

@ RiDi: The DTS downmix is supported for playon!HD's with a 1073DD chipset. The older versions with a 1073DA chipset do not have DTS downmix, we also never said that it would have DTS downmix during the selling of that model. That it does not have DTS downmix has to do with a licensing issue between Realtek and DTS. When that issue is resolved, and we still hope they do, DTS downmix will be available for those models as well.
@ryback64: It is a much asked for request but not a function that will be implemented soon. We are working on other issues right now to implement.
@wolf666: can you please give me some information about what kind of subtitles you are using. Also language, characterset if you know?
@Bron: you might me right, we wanted to release a firmware to soon to get the wireless dongle to work on the newer models. We are working hard to get a new firmware to solve all current issues.
@VeTonfire: Thank you for the support, we will do our best to solve all current issues a.s.a.p.
