Zensonic is being loved all round for it's innovative approach on the DivX Player scene with their Z500 Series player. Customers patience is however tested thoroughly as the Z500 is currently only available in Australia and soon also in Israel. No one can help it that consumers long to finally see the Z500 in real time instead of reading about the constant progress it makes and make you long to it even more. How long it will take for the Z500 being available in Europe is unknown to date but surely is a huge concern for competitors if we look at the differences they do deliver! The Z500 is a fearce competitor if it comes to a showdown with any player available today. It seems Zensonic is targeting to deliver "the player" that serves almost every single wish of the consumer.
Click on "Read more" for the full article!

Zensonic was the first offering SMB support, which allows you to access Windows Shares directly from the player on the PC or NAS storage without the need of installing any Client Side Software. A huge convenience Zensonic delivered as the first brand and is still the only one. Today, we can add yet another item that can count as Zensonic has released the 1.4 FW Beta 5 on their Beta test Forums a couple days ago, including IFO and ISO support. This Firmware is not yet available in public and is not accessible for normal users unless the ones in the beta Team.

The ISO and IFO support uses the SMB feature. All the end user needs to do is share a folder with ISO or RAW DVD (IFO) files which are then directly accessible from the player and can be used. The request for support on ISO and IFO over the network started by the consumers years ago after the first DivX player with network was born. That the latest player on the market, (Zensonic) now is the first in delivering is more then promising! Again, we can clearly see an advantage of a player developed from scratch with own development on Firmware, in the case of Zensonic, loaded with firmware from Sliceware!

Beside the progress made by Zensonic, several more smaller issues will need some coding done before the final release is made. From where I'm watching the scene, Zensonic will be a tough competition and with the right future products, might beat the bigger names on the European market with ease unless they catch up with them! I guess, waiting too long to come with what customers want will eventually result in being behind on the one that does deliver: Zensonic!

I guess we can say Zensonic is able being a Pioneer in a world that exists for years!
That's quit something if you'll ask me!
