WHOEHOEEEEE! WHOOT! WHOOt! Whazaaaahhh... I'm here and ready to receive all the great gifts you all have bought to celebrate your dear friend MPC CLUB! Doesn't have to be big as long as it's expensive :-) Seriously, there are these kind of events in lives that always come with a long and tiring speech, just like Christmas, New Year and whatever other events commercialised over the years and you know what...? I hate it! Regardless if I need to write a speech or listen to one, I simply hate them but it comes with the responsibilities that you decided to take on. If I can't get myself to write a decent speech when the time is right for it and I get to hate reviewing players because they all look alike, what would become the result? If I started to hate all the Questions asked over and over by new consumers, how good would MPC support be? Those are the risk you take on and challenge, and then see how well you cope with them. Now after three years running MPC, i can say the pleasure us still beating the "other side of the medal" but this world is getting rougher, and tougher. Now read my tiring and long speech by clicking in "Read More" :-)

I wonder how many of you know how MPC eventually got started. There was a time even I started out with the first DivX player and research yielded not many results in support so i felt blocked. What other remedy was there but to start MPC and invest so much time and efforts in steering MPC towards being the place it is today. It took the time and involvment of so many people to make it a success and this is where the power from MPC comes from, you and me! We are together, a perfect team doing something great on the web! Despite the failures in raising enough money (failed Stage2, failed MPC BD Event Tickets to sell out, dropping amount of people joining the actual Club), we rag one success after the other, yet must be carefull for the future. Things become more expensive and with the dropping amount of funds we might have to change course here and there... but that is nothing to worry about today! (It sounds negative on a positive day)

Yes, times are not always sunny for MPC, the world is getting tougher to explore, brands become less open towards sending samples as there are so many sites interested, yet, the extra rounds we run for delivering extra value is a formula for success. Despite the results seen online, does anyone have an idea how long a reviw actually takes me? Anyone knows how many mails are going back and forth between MPC Mailboxes and Companies? Phone Calles? Visits? Meetings? Discussions?

This day today, is a day that should be about MPC as for the greates part of the Year MPC focusses on you and despite we don't have the actual funds to feel safe enough for the coming years, we manage, pump some extra juice into the whole to make things more interesting and keep thinking of how to make things more interesting for you. Proove of these is MPC's latest investments made in the Stage2 FW development for VR-558, MPC's investment in redesigning some parts to make it more functional, the investment in prizes to celebrate today of which many are sponsored, others are not... and so on! Our latest invention to make things more interesting is Infotainment, again beneficial to the visitors of MPC. It's only more then fair today we think about MPC...

We don't ask for big gifts ( as long as they are expensive, remember? :-) ). We nearly ask you to help us survive and make the efforts we go through every day worth it our while. Not just for our own pockets to fill but for continue making things better as that is the only satisfaction that fills our minds, year after year, seeing again, we made improvements with success. We count on your continuous support to help us reach that goal for next year too by "donating" small change for our birthday or simply doing yourself a favor and "join MPC Club" to support the scene. That way, you help us be here again next year, for another fun evening, but let's first go through this day and all the fun planned! Enjoy MPC's 3rd birthday!

You earned it almost as much as me :-)
Hell of a speech, ain't it?

A proud Hi-Jack
