MPC's new portal integrates Skype functionality and shows whenever a member is online with Skype. This makes it easy to contact each other and you can use the functions within MPC to send a message to that user over Skype.
You will need to change a local setting in Skype as follows:
In your MPC profile, add your Skype ID
Edit your Skype Options "Privacy settings" and enable the option "Allow my status to be shown on the web". You can find this under TOOLS and then PRIVACY. You may have to enable "advanced" options. Attached is a screenshot of this change.
Now users can see if you are online with Skype and send instant messages by clicking on the little Skype icon in posts underneath the username.
