View Full Version : How to mount internal HD with a Mac?
Hi
How can I use the Xtreamers internal HD with my Mac computer (Snow Leopard)?
I've tried to connect, but I can't see any files? Is this a problem with the NTFS filesystem?
Kind Regards
Hans

By default, Mac Leopard can't read (/write) NTFS partion on a HDD.
So, if you need it, you can Google for it, with LAN there is 'Samba' it does the job!
In Finder and then Command-K and fill in the ServerAdres: something like smb://192.168.0.100
but it depends of the Xtreamer IP-adres.
If you install the free NTFS-3G (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/24481/ntfs-3g) drivers & connect via USB you should be able to read & write to an NTFS partitioned HDD.
I don't have an Xtreamer but I regularly read & write to NTFS partitioned external HDDs on my Snow Leopard iMac.
This driver is very stable.
