View Full Version : Any luck with divxplayer.nl orders?
I have ordered and paid through Paypal one Dune Prime 3.0 back last October 7th and since then my order is reported as "waiting for payment" on their website.
I have written 4 messages asking them to kindly confirm that they have received my payment and guess what? No reply so far.
I understand that the dune 3.0 is in high demand but I think it is unacceptable that no reply is given to a client who has already paid his product to a reseller.
Did anybody has any good/bad recent experiences with this shop?
Thanks
Stefano
Had a problem last year was unable to get any reply by telephone (always answering machine) and never reply to e-mails. Sent e-mail to them about 3 weeks ago to enquire about a purchase and they didnt even reply to that.
Original order was sent promptly but had a cable missing.

If you go to DivxPlayer.nl website you can see that Dune BD Prime 3.0 will be on stock at earliest of last week of october (possibly little later). They will update the date when there is some new information from HDI.
http://www.divxplayer.nl/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=93&sort=2a&products_id=1957
Maybe they update your payment status when players are on stock and ready to delivery (my quess).
I have very good experiences of Divxplayer.nl. No problems.
I hope they will answer your e-mail soon.
I tried to order a Prime 3.0 from their website a few days back, but didnt get any payment instructions during the order process (i choose credit card/Pay pal). I did get an order email, telling me that i should pay using the payment instructions i didnt have. It also said that if i didnt have the payment instructions, then i should email them, so i did. I still havent gotten any response though.
I made the order for the Mede8er buyin, I expected to get an email of confirmation and details of how to make the bank transfer. I emailed two addresses, did later get a reply saying they would check with the administrators. This is not what I am used to or expect when ordering something online, confirmation of order and payment details are important. OK, this buyin might be a special procedure, but it does not give confidence as how a company works and inspire repeat business.

It was exactly the same for me except I have immediately received their payment instructions (Paypal) after my first e-mail request.
My point is that it is quite unacceptable to be left completely "in the dark" when you request a confirmation (actually 4 confirmations!) that your payment has been correctly received from the seller. I understand the item I have ordered is not yet in stock (and I was fully aware it would have been in stock late in october when I ordered it ...) but I think that e-mail requests for confirmation should be promptly responded from whoever wants to be involved in a online distribution business.
After all they have my money in their hands since 3 weeks and I only pretend to have a confirmation from them !

If you pay using paypal. Paypal automaticly send you a confirmation email that a payment has been made to the email address of the shop.
Few remarks...
If you do not receive mails, check spam folders etc... Most interventions we take on result in mails being sent but in spam folders etc... When choosing payPal, the payment is made online immediately after the order via an API gateway so if that fails, it can have reasons on their systems failing or the end user handling it wrong, browser protection (popups opening a new window) and what not...
off course, there are always emails left unanswered and it should be avoided...
OK, my Spam box is my new Inbox ;) Maybe dixvplayer needs to look into a new mail sender, xx

Thanks for the tip hijack.
The second email i send this morning seemed to do the trick, i have now received (and paid) their payment request through paypal. I assume some browser protection must have blocked the payment during the ordering process. However, they could easily fix this issue by allowing people to access the paypal payment request URL under the order view when logged in on divxplayer.nl.
As an aside, i did check my spam box, nothing there.

No replies in my spam folder....I usually double check it from time to time in order to be sure not to loose messages I care about.
The thing which is worrying me is the "waiting for payment" status of my order. An online reseller should either make its website work correctly or reply to clients' e-mails.....maybe both of them !
As an asside, you as a customer could "clear" divxplayer from popup protection and whatever caused the popup for the payment to fail... We can't expect every brand to adapt to all applications that fiddle with the way things are presented as if they do... the next complaint will be "the link does not work" since it won't open in a new window either... :-)
Their order mail could hoever link to the payment if choosen PayPal. They read the forums, so maybe they will soon... They are usually flexible in tuning the system...

I didnt realize any popup blocking was taking place, so its pretty hard to clear it :)
I didnt even realize that the payment window was supposed to have shown during the order process until i got the order email from divxnplayer.nl.
Just to check with Hijack/Paul as i'm in the HDI Prime 3.0 buy-in (nr. 16 in the list): have e-mails already been sent out by Divxplayer for it? I certainly have not received anything yet anywhere and i do check all the time also the Junk mail filder just in case. Or is this thread abt the direct sales by Divxplayer to any customer?
Thanks in advance for the clarification.
This thread is about direct sales only. As far as i know (I'm in the buy-in too) there were no mails sent out as of today.
TheMule!
If processing takes place for any buy-in, an updates will be posted in the buy-in thread...
OK thought so, many thanks for he clarification Hi-Jack.
Nooooooo....divxplayer has just pushed back the Dune 3.0 to 2nd/3rd week of November delivery !!
Nooooooo....divxplayer has just pushed back the Dune 3.0 to 2nd/3rd week of November delivery !!
Wow, what a big suprise.... NOT
It was already stated that the buy in units should be ready early november, several weeks before the rest hits the market.
So don't expect to get one before december i think.
HDI will have the target to release before christmas if they have any sense.
I made the payment on 29.09 and my status is Waiting for payment....
I still wait... middle November... :(
It won't take until Christmas, end of November is more accurate (i hope)... We have no explicit dates on anything yet...
Since these direct buy units won't have the same level of coverage as the buy-in ones, I would think it would be better to let the early adopters get some face time with the units and provide feedback to HDI prior to buying one outright.
Too bad they chose (for valid reasons) not to let US folks in on the buy in this time :( :(
We will check with Digital connection if we could setup something for the future with them for the US... It all depends on the pricing / shipping rates and the offers brands can give to power the buy-ins... and the amount of US peeps lurking at MPC for the next chance :-) Ain't worth the hussle for 3 - 4 units... if you know what I mean... :-)
So don't expect to get one before december i think.
Damn, i was hoping it wouldnt take that long (i hadnt looked at the buyin since it was full by the time i made my decision to get the prime).
Does the information on divxplayers website only apply to the buy-in units? (i just thought they were talking about general availability).
Like I mentioned, I understood the reasons behind the decision, doesn't mean I have to like the end result though :(. Digital Connections is my US online vendor of choice. They recently bumped both the price and ETA of the Dune 3.0. It used to be $399 USD and 11/04, now it is $449 USD and 11/20. Wonder what they will list it as next week ? :(. Right now I just am looking for a media player to work. Still can't get service on our broken Prime 1.0. I guess the timing was bad for HDI since they are trying to push out the 3.0's to meet their schedule, so customer service is taking a bit of a back seat. Hopefully they will finish soon enough so that I won't have strayed outside my warranty period waiting on HDI to get our 1.0 fixed :)
EDIT : I mentioned our Prime 1.0 since it was from the last buy-in and also came from divxplayer.nl, who we are working through to get service, since it appears that it how HDI has it set up, even for the manufacturers warranty. So it was still sort of relevant to this thread topic. But I could be misunderstanding all that I have read and been informed about with regards to our attempts to get warranty work performed.
i visit divxplayer last week but i only can say that they are very helpful.
They give you a good advice. but i cant say that i have experience with them concerning orders

In my circumstance there was some misunderstandings that seem to have been cleared up. Once we got past the confusion (mostly on my part perhaps ? :)) things are flowing much more smoothly. And again, my situation is very different. I have never dealt with a vendor for a manufacturer warranty issue beyond the typical 30 days after purchase, so I feel that Divxplayer.nl is really going above and beyond what I am accustomed to. Just getting everyone on the same page so that we were all talking about the same thing was the challenge :), but they were patient and stuck with me to work towards a mutual understanding, which is all anyone could ask for :)
Any of the buy-in orders marked as shipped?
I ordered very quickly after receiving the "buy in starting now" e-mail on thursday and payed directly via paypal, so I should be one of the first 30. My order number is #10600. My order is still marked as "Pending". :(

Mine is before yours and also pending. I am however in front of you:mrgreen:
I guess we can just wait and see. It is frustrating since they said it will go out on saturday and do not answer emails or special request, but we will all get it in the end ...

We NEVER told it will go out on Saturday, because it is not even possible. Also, we stated we will NOT answer e-mails regarding the buy-in the first days.
please read the other post about the buy-in for more info
Why not relax a bit? - We all should receive our Dunes till end of week.
Does a day earlier or later make this big difference?
Divxplayer is doing a very good job im my eyes.
Thanks for.

I am relaxed, and actually said in my post that we will get it in the end.
Initial posts DID say that a saturday shipping was planned, then you ran into customs problems...
I was just stating that all this add to the excitement is all.
Gee I even tried to help out by answering some worried customers who could not see their orders... I guess I will just keep to myself and wait then!
Ho and to prove that I DO READ announcements (http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21725) and did not dream about the initial saturday statement :)
Handling details:
The first 30 units will arrive this Friday and will be shipped immediately towards the first 30 people processing thier orders after you received the mail from Divxplayer somewhere tomorrow! The other units are expected next week Monday / Tuesday and will be processed as soon as they arrive. You should all receive tracking information once your shipment is prepped.
Not only wait, but wait and get more and more excited :-)
Talk about excitement ... I just received an email telling me that my order status changed.
Rushed to divxplayer site, and realised it changed from Pending to Payment Received :(
For info I paid by Paypal 5 days ago...
Now its going on:p
Just received an email that my payment is received and waiting for UPS pick up:lol:
So I think the people from divxplayer.nl has made a great job and bring all the "DUNES" on the way as they promised.:-D

For info I paid by Paypal 5 days ago...
I made my order on the 22/10 (not part of the buy-in) but didnt get the paypal payment request until the 27/10 where i then immediately paid.
However my status is still "Waiting for Payment" :( I emailed divxplayer.nl to ask about it yesterday. I would be a bit more comfortable if the status was payment received, so i hope they reply soon.
I know in nederlands you can smoke some substance legally freely but i don't know what they do !
1 the did not process my order !
2 they asked for my mpc club membership (i got a mail from us thursday !)
3 i gave us my login mpc and...
4 my order in canceled !!!!!!!
well well.....
update : immediate mail from mpcc admin to divxplayer.... thanks a lot !

Divxplayer would do a very good job if they reply to the numerous e-mails that I have sent them asking whether they have received or not my paypal payment (1 month ago !!!). My order is still in the "waiting for payment" status and I am starting to feel really p....ed off by their behaviour. This is really unprofessional IMHO..............
Last minute update......I have just received the following message from Divxplayer.nl:
Dear Faxao,
Since you waited so long,we will ship using EXPRESS, so Fridayt is the delivery

The long story is about to have a "happy ending".......;-)
lucky guys ! my order was canceled and just a short answer to tell me my name was not in the list...
even if mpcclub admin said 'please not cancel, the little mistake was on our side', no change in my canceled status 2 days after now and moreover no answer.
i presume they are busy but in term of service ans customer relationship, well.... not perfect !
anyway, if half of first units are not playing dvds, no hurry finally !!!

Yes all went fine. Ordered right after we got the mails. Paid via Paypal ... player got shipped on Tuesday and arrived here yesterday. Luckily we have MPC Club as I only tested network playback (I have standalone Region A & B Blu-Ray player). Will check on the playback issues ...
But as far as the divxplayer.nl orders goes ... all went smooth. This was my third MPC Club/Divxplayer purchase and I'll surely come back.
yes yes ! bd prime is in ups hands ! i hope i will be luckier with the drive (working one not too noisy !)
thanks !
Yours will be shipped also....... check the status of your order.
EXACT, it is in ups hands ! thanks !

I'm feeling a bit worried here now also. I ordered last friday ( 13 nov ) and the BD prime was marked In stock.
Payed by Paypal and got confirmation, checked bank account and its been withdrawn with the text Divxplayer but as of today my order is still marked Pending at the homepage.
Sent an email witch didn't get responded and tried to call at open hours and got answering machine in a language i dont understand so i have no clue if they told me to fuck off we have your money nananananana....
The stores i usually buy from ( Swedish ) give info in real time so if thats not the case here and the BD is in transit from manufacture or the drive is getting an exchange or whatever reason they have i think its a must to INFORM about that.
If i haven't read at MPC that this store is legit i would have been screaming Fraud by now and called my bank to take back the money.
I will give it a few more days for them to respond but sadly, im getting a bad wibe from this store.

Don't worry to much. There probably very busy at the moment.
The store is ok. Done several orders now. It's just the communication that sometimes fails, but in the end everything worked out for me.
OK, since the other thread is closed, I'll reply here...
Oh c'mon Hi-Jack. Some days ago you told me it is not possible to return the player after 7 days and now it is...
and yes, no costs will apply to this action for the end user...
Ok now I am really pissed off!!! Why I had to pay shipping costs for delivery (only partial repayment) and return (no answer to 3 e-mails, had to pay shipping to get it out on time - 7 day policy)?????? My bd-loader played not a single disc so it was faulty!
Hi-Jack & DivXPlayer_NL, can you please give me an explenation??? I want that money back (12.95 EUR delivery + 17 EUR return via DHL = 29,95 EUR). Do I have to go to a lawyer now?
YOu are the guy that could not made up his mind, canceled and re-ordered every time. We refunded you conform the return right policy. Please post the mail you received from Hi-Jack....,.....
I canceld and re-ordered once and that has nothing to do with the refund (even if I cancel and re-order a hundred times). You have to refund me like all others who bought the unit via the buy-in and that's what I've done!
Never received an mail from Hi-Jack regarding the return of the player after 7 days. He only answered to a forum post. So here again...
Problem is, that I, and maybe others too, would like to test the unit with a build in drive that works as intended by HDI regarding media playability and sound level (at the moment we can only guess). After that I would like to have the possibility to judge if this device fits my personal needs or not. If I come to the conclusion that the device do not fit my needs, I would like to have the option to return it with money-back. I think that's that, the 7 day return policity was made for. But until we all have working drives the return policy elapsed and I think that's bad. Wouldn't it be possible to extend the return policy so that everybody can test the unit with drives that work as intended by HDI?
Sorry, no that's not possible as the devices can in that case not be sold as new devices by law. The 7 day return policy is standard. It isn't that hard with a broken drive, to decide the product is good enough for you (network etc works fine). It would be different if the unit is completely unfunctional in which case you can use the 7 day return policy.
Hm..., strange now it is possible!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Your case was handled as a "none buy-in" considering we asked to be patient for official procedures which you did not... pushing for the refund...
What's that for a bullshit?!?!? I bought my unit via the buy-in and you know that. I was on the buy-in list, I ordered it via the buy-in website, I payed the buy-in price and my invoice says "Dune BD Prime 3.0... MPC CLUB BUY-IN" ergo this was a normal buy-in order which has to be handled like every other buy-in order!
We asked refusing to accept the player for the full refund after you cancelled, instead you accepted and opened the player to try it out and so on...
LOL...,
1. You asked me that two days after I received the package (no response on several mail's, pm's and post's to Hi-Jack and divxplayer.nl before) and as I stated before the divxplayer.nl website says: "... we advice you to accept the parcel, since rejecting will result in a double shiping fee." So I done that because I don't wanted more trouble.
2. Yes I opened the player and I tested it like all others in this buy-in. And...??? Now after a lot complaints in this forum you telling everybody that no one have to pay any shipping costs if he want to pull out of the buy-in.
Option 1: You want to pull out of the buy-in
- You opt out now and get a full refund. The unit will be picked up, check for completeness and impecable status, and you will be refunded the full price you paid on the buy-in. Shipping costs will be handled by Divxplayer.
So please give me a real explenation (please not this, this was not a buy-in buy bullshit) why you want me to pay for all shipping costs (delivery and return) and others not.
Your case was not handled by us because you went your own way and not the "group" way which is covered by the buy-in extra protection.
Bullshit!!!
There was additionally a good chance the patch would resolve the fact your drive accepts no disks and so on...
Has nothing to do with the return policy!
-------------------------------------------------------------
@DIVXPLAYER_NL
I really don't want that this case escallate, so I hope you are fair enough to reconsider your attitude and refund me the shipping costs. It's up to you ...
Hi all
I am disappointed how divxplayer.nl handle customer cases.
I paid via paypal on Tuesday 17.11.09 and still my order status is marked as "Waiting for payment".
The last 7 days I sent 5 mails and never got a reply.
I am not a Buy-In member and now i do not know how to contact them to solve my problem.

Hi everybody !
I have also made an order on the 13.nov 2009 thru divxplayer.nl web page, where at this time was stated that the BD Prime 3 is on stock and can be shiped next day. I made a payment thru Paypal the same day. Then i was waiting, waiting ... and nothing hapened. I sent 3 emails with complaints - nothing - no answer. So after more then two weeks i called them by phone on the 30.nov and they changed my status like here:
11/13/2009 Pending
11/30/2009 Backorder We have received your payment. The product will be delivered within 6 days. You will receive an e-mail with information about the parcel and tracking possibilities on the day of shipping around 18.00 CET. If in any case the delivery will extend the 6 days, you will be informed. (During weekdays)
So they backordered the player on the 30.nov and received the payment on the 13.nov when it was stated that the player is on stock !!!! They promised that they will ship the player this weekend. I will see if this will happen and make an report here. I dont have trust in this store since they dont answer at all and they dont do like it is stated on their web page.
Regards :(
