I have a popcorn hour, the original one.. and used it well, over a network using Devolo Powerline (85 mb) connectors.
It worked well for over 9 months, or more.. then.. one day, the unit would not work.
switch on. some screen scramble.. then black screen nothing else..
So.. i removed the hard drive. Then it would power up ok.
however, it won't now connect to my network, and i've forgotten if i need to do anything to the popcorn to make it work over a network.
If i go into the network, option, in the popcorn. its set to find auto ip, etc. but the bit at the bottom just says ' Mac Address ' 00 00 00 00 ' etc. and the ip address is blank.
So.. i then reflashed the popcorn to the latest version of the software, and i still have the same problem.
Do i need to do anything to the popcorn to make it see my network? or.. has something blown in the device?
tia.
