Hello , my question is if all the media players/recorders can record analoge channels via scart.
I have made a search for media player/recorder and I have found some products that play all the video formats( MKV.....) , many audio formats , many subtitles and has DVT tuner to record digital channels.
My question is if I can record also analoge channels with some way.
I have an answer that says from SCART input and Composite input are provided for analog recording from external sources. Is this for every media player/recorder that has scart and composite?
If this works , how it works? You must have the channel open on TV to record? (always talking for analoge channels).

Just a note: even some players have SCART in/out, Realtek chipset doesn't support full Scart and in that players is just an implementation for the RCA jacks. So buying one player with SCART will not deliver better quality than the ones with RCA, S-VIDEO, etc.

You can record anyhting is analogue. If your TV is set to some TV channel or to some VHS player, if using the outputs from TV into the inputs of PVR, the PVR will record what is on the screen. If you will change the channels, the PVR will record also that changes.

I know that scart doesn't have the better quality , but I cannot find a media player/recorder that has analoge and digital tuner , and also plays MKV files.Do you know?
