Hello Everyone,
I am newbie on this website, and I am not sure if here is the right place to post my thread. If it is not, I apologize in advance.
My brother-in-law from Korea sent me this TVIX M6620N with Western Digital 1TB 7200rpm SATA 3G/s as gift. (Thank you SOOOOOOOO much:).)
The network setup is as following:
Wired
Internet --> VZ Fios --> (Coax) VZ Router --> (CAT6) Dlink DIR-655 Xtream N Router --> (Gigabit using CAT6) PS3(DHCP), XBOX360(DHCP), TV(DHCP), and TVIX M6620N (Static IP 192.168.0.244)
Wireless
Dlink DIR-655 Xtream N Router --> (Dlink DWA-552 Xtream N PCI Desktop NIC) 3 PCs (OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit) in each room, Nintendo Wii
I upgraded TVIX to 1.9.4 B4 Beta firmware.
Everything works perfectly. I can copy from PC to TVIX (3~5Mb/s) using Samba client (PC) and Samba Server (TVIX), and stream HD/SD contents from PC to TVIX without any hiccups using Netshare Version 2.12.
I download all of movies and US & Korean Dramas from website with 3000 Kilo BYTE per second, not bit.
Since my main PC consumes 1000 watts, I decided to use my TVIX 24/7 to store and stream all my SD/HD contents to room PCs and play in living room TV because it only uses 50 watts. I must be lazy to download to my pc and copy to TVIX, so I mapped the TVIX HDD network drive (Z: ) to my main PC to download directly to TVIX.
Then, my problem starts. When I download from website to local drive on my pc, I get 3000 Kbps, but when I download directly to TVIX network mapped HDD, I get 40 ~100 Kbps. Streaming and copying shows the fast enough bandwidth, but How come it slows so bad to download website to TVIX? To be precise, I measured the speed with NO activities but download from website to TVIX directly, and it still shows 200Kbps max. Is it because of TVIX Samba server? Or somewhere on my home network setting?
Also, I can not use any other third party downloader because the website that I use only use ActiveX downloader made by them and only recognize local and mapped network drives.
Please help me.
Thank you in advance.
