Although the beta is not publicly accessible, we thought we'd share the news with you anyway as information...

Cool now a C-200 using nmt apps can become totally silent again. ;)

About time!

I really hope the new UI will be a success, because if it does, the C-200 will become a monster of a mediaplayer... :o

does that mean it will be ugly for people who wants to display video + subtitles via the S-video output, since the resolution is way lower ??

Maybe a newbie question but still a question.

No, the subtitles should be rendered at whatever resolution your output is set to, up to 1080p. The problem before was that the subtitles were rendered at SD resolution, so they would look more or less fine for SD outputs, but blocky for 1080p output.

HD Subs? if you mean HD Subs inside mkv then this are not supported from Sigma at this time, we are asking them why this limitation is in and they are looking into it.

.srt should still look better due to "- use 1920x1080 resolution for subtitle rendering". Sorely needed, .srt does not look very good at the moment.

sure ;) mkv, ts and m2ts hd ausio pass trough support, but there also some other improvements.
But we are currently on alpha stage with the new sdk, thats the reason why it isn't out already, currently we are porting all our stuff over, but it won't take that long i hope :) also the new gui will soon come into betatesting.

I'm sick and tired of having to wait for a fix for sound in PIP. Is that ever going to happen or are we supposed to just wait for another year or two ?

100Mbit/s network speed has certainly improved considerably with this firmware release. I used to get on average about 60Mbits/s on SMB file transfers from Win7, now I get 80Mbits/s on average, so well done, a significant improvement.

I tried using the DTS-HD MA, HR, TrueHD and DD+ from http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/high-d...ilers.php. Everything is working fine except for DD Plus which is still registering as regular DD on my Denon 3310.

I guess you downloaded a QA version of the firmware. A notice should have been screen, saying it is a QA version only for internal testing, prior to installing the update. With this firmware you may risk a brick of your unit which will void your waranty.

The QA version you downloaded was based on RC3 which has been voided due to a couple deal breaking bugs.

You downloaded the QA test of RC3... it happens. Others managed to grab it as well. QA uploads the firmware they're testing for a brief moment to test online update (I think). Every time a new firmware gets QA'd someone manages to get it before it's removed again. This build was as I said declined and RC4 now stands to be the official firmware to be released next week.

RC3 was voided primarily due to a broken resume function. There were also some issues with the Apps center. Other than that it's fine to use.
