WD Elements drive

Hi all,

I have a 1TB Elements drive that just died and wanted to know if I can open it up and replace the drive myself (I have to send it to Thailand otherwise and pay for the shipping)

If I can I think I'll just do that :-)

And if I can, could I add a 2TB drive ?

You can open it up and replace the 2TB drive yourself, but 1TB Elements enclosure it might not recognized the 2TB drive.

Okay, so if I go get another 1TB drive it should work ? (I'll get another WD green drive)

I would try the 2TB first if not, return and get 1TB.
