Dune Prime stuttering playback issues w/"Zappiti" version 1.2.1.45 & w/"My Movies Collection Management" software version 3.14
I need to give some background history so you get the full picture, please bare with me...
I've started using "Zappiti" and have come across the same stuttering playback issues that I experience with "My Movies Collection Management 3.14" (which is the reason I switched to "Zappiti").
I have:
- Two HDi Dune BD Prime 3.0 w/HDD (one in the family room and one in the bedroom), both are set up as "smb" protocol (ONLY DVD's on HDD's).
- One Netgear EVA 9150 w/HDD (living room) set up as "smb" protocol (ONLY DVD's on HDD).
- One Netgear NV+ NAS (computer room) set up as "NFS" protocol (ONLY Blu-rays on HDD's).
I did not have stuttering playback issues with "My Movies Collection Management" software version 3.12 (each server\share had it's own "My Movies" index).
I updated to version 3.14 (I've performed all the required steps). All four server\share locations are mapped (three "smb" and one "NFS") correctly with "My Movies Collection Management" software version 3.14 and now there's ONLY one index folder (as it should be, that's the point of the update). I can playback all Blu-rays ("NFS") and all DVD's ("smb") by accessing the movie directly thru the mapped server\share folder icon in the Dune GUI or the new "My Movies" index without any issues.
I can access any movie, on any server\share location, from any of my three media player locations using the new "My Movies" index, with ONLY one exception.
THE ONLY EXCEPTION: I have consistent stuttering playback issues when attempting to play any movie (DVD) stored on a Dune server\share ("smb"), using the new "My Movies" index, but only the movies (DVD) on the Dune BD Prime HDD I'm accessing the movie from (I have no stuttering playback issues when playing movies stored on the other Dune BD Prime HDD at that time). The stuttering playback issues rotate if I rotate media player access locations. I've moved, and updated, the new "My Movies" index to all four server/share locations with the same outcome.
Allow me to say it like this - When using the new "My Movies" index...I can not play the movies stored on the Dune player HDD that I'm sitting in front of. I can only play the movies on the other Dune player, the one I'm not sitting in front of.
This is the exact situation for both "Zappiti" version 1.2.1.45 & "My Movies Collection Management" version 3.14
Everything else works great.
Any ideas of how to remedy the stuttering playback issue?
