Logging in with SSL [Archive] - MPC Club Community Board

Hello,

I have a QNAP TS-459.

I am looking for a way to use the ssl-option to login.

As I will do this only a limited number of times I am looking for a safe but also not so costly option. Does anybody have this running againts reasonable costs?

Could you share that here?

login to what?

if you want secure login : enable ssh (and disable telnet)
if you want secure http : enable https (and disable http)

sorry, you're right.

Want to login as admin on administration.

I have tried it with openssl but firefox keeps giving me errors.
Probably that's as not u trusted party as verisign is linked to the certificate.

As I will not use it much I am looking for a cheap but safe option
