M-4130 delete file problem [Archive] - MPC Club Community Board

Hi,

I am using firmware 1.7.15.

I deleted a few files using the remote control - the files disappear on the screen (and when viewing via USB), but the disk space isn't recovered. So far I have about 40 gig unaccounted for. It's enough to make me consider copying everything off and re-formatting. Scandisk didn't find anything.

Is this a known problem and is there a solution?

Did you try CHKDSK?

Yes, I ran it from within Windows (properties -> Tools -> Error Checking -> Check Now). It's pretty quick and I'm not sure how useful it is. No errors were found.
