Hi All,

I'm new here, so be gentle :-)

I've just downloaded and been playing around with Zappiti in anticipation of my new Dune B1 arriving. So far I like the program a lot, and I've been scanning in a few discs (DVD, Blu-Ray and TV Shows) to try it out. I have a few questions that I hope you can answer.

FYI, I'm using AnyDVD HD to rip to an ISO image on my NAS. I have seperate folders for Movies and TV Shows, with seperate folders within those for the various films and shows.

I've used AnyDVD for a long time, so not really tried to look for anything else...are there any better/easier options out there? Also as I said I'm ripping to ISO, which for Movies seems to work great, but not so great for TV Shows, as I don't get the individual episodes. Again, are there better ways to do this?

Anyway, that aside, I'm having a bit of trouble with the cover/background art for a TV Show, and it's got me very confused.

The disc in question is "The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Season 2" boxset. I don't know if that makes a difference? So far I've just ripped the first disc. I have it located in the TV Shows folder, and I see it there. I can select Cover and Background art, but there are no details on the Title itself (summary, actors, etc), and I can't edit the scraped details (presumably because there are none).

I tried moving it to the Movies folder. Then I get the Title details, and can see Summary, Actors and so on, and I can edit these scraped details. But now there is no Cover and Background art to select!

I had assumed that the Movies and TV Shows worked the same way, just a way of seperating them logically, but on closer lookign I see that Movies uses IMDB for info, and TV Shows uses TVDB. It's like TVDB has art but no details, and IMDB has details but no art!

I have saved artwork on my HDD and selected that to display, but I can only do this if it's in the Movies folder, and of course I really want it in the TV Shows folder.

Is there something blindingly obvious I'm missing here? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Edit: I'm using Zappiti 1.4.1.2645, which I think is the latest

Well I'm sort of making progress!

When I renamed the ISO file to be "The Man From U.N.C.L.E s02e01 s02e02 s02e03" I was able to get it to show up correctly in the TV Shows. But now I only get the first Episode.

I'm clearly close, but is this the correct format for multiple Episodes on a single disc? Should I use a different separator?

PS I know this will not let me go directly to individual episodes on the disc. I don't care about that, I just want the different Episoes, complete with Episode info, to show up in Zappiti

to get all the episodes you will have to rip each one and rename as you have done Man from uncle/s01e01,s01e02 etc, zappiti at the moment cant handle tv series isos and so one thumb per disc you can use magicdvdripper or clonedvdmobile to do this or mkv for dvd or blu-ray rips.

Do you need all the extras on your DVDs to be available on your B1?

If you just want main titles and episodes you can use either MakeMKV (free whilst in Beta) or Clown BD (free) to rip just the bits you want to MKV and M2TS formats respectively. It works for most TV series discs.

Yeah I might have to go that route. Thanks!
