I've been searching for a manual about the aaimagegen.exe that will tell me what arguments to use so I can build a .background.aai

Ive got a png and a few jpg files. But don't have a clue about how to convert those files with aaimagegen. Can anyone send me some information about it?

Or must I create a bmp with all the layers into it and then convert it with aaimagegen into an aai format?

Thans for the txt, but it will only answer a part of my question. It seems that aaimgagegen will only convert images into aai formats. But now I'm trying to find out how to combine several jpg and png files into 1 jpg or bmp file. I want to make a script that will do almost the same as yadis or tvixie. But commandline based so it won't need any interaction. Can someone tell me how those files are combined into a nice background picture?

After that it can be converted with aaimagegen.

Do you mean that yadis, tvixie and other gui tools use photoshop scripts to automate the .background.aai creation process? Does anyone have an example i can play with?

No.

They will have developed an equivalent of http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24034 or used directly.

To script a conversion process you will most probably need to use a .net language, using the above library, to create an argument-able executable.
