View Full Version : MM configuration issue with Dune?
I'm running MM 3.18 with a Dune BD Prime with latest firmware and recently I had to rebuild my PC and reinstall MM and restore my back-up. The issue I have now is if I select a film Icon by pressing enter I can view the movie backdrop but when I press enter again I get a 'URL failed to open' message and the pathname which will not open EG. URL: SMB: /// pathname/film/film file. This all worked fine prior to the rebuild and restore. Plus, I've switched off automatic folder monitoring and add my latest films manually. But when I attempt to play directly from the film icon these latest films now present the image instucting me to enter the DVD disk. I have checked the pathnames and they appear correct in the Dune files also I think the file sharing is ok. Can someone please advise how to solve this?
Is the Zappiti database and your movies on the same path? I think if they are on separate paths that is a problem since the dune can only have one SMB connection open at a time. Access the database using NFS.

Update to 3.19PR4 which has a lot of fixes for the Dune folder export.
I have been fighting with the Dune & MM for about a week. As far as I can tell MyMovies simply doesn't work at all or is not compatible with the Dune D1... I have all of the latest versions and firmware loaded.
I have the following hardware, Dune D1 with an internal SSD, Synology 1510, WinXP running on Fusion on my iMac.
I have used unc network paths exclusively, and tried every option for the Dune index creation including creating it on a local drive and moving it to the Dune. MyMovies writes to the Dune and reads my Nas fine but when I try opening the index it either crashes my Dune or is incredibly slow and then crashes?
My Dune index location is:
\\Dune\dunessd_01cc1bad633a9ea0
my Share shows up as:
\\Vienna\Media (with a green check)
I have set the Share up as a smb and a named share with the same results. I have also tried adding a SMB folder to my Dune desktop as per the UTube video. The output files seem to be missing path data?
Just a hint:
MM produces the files
... MyMovies/.DuneTitles/<nr>/TitleStructure/PlaybackFolder/dune_folder.txt
Does the line media_url=... point to the right place? e.g. media_url=smb://serverName>/...
Compare this path with the one Dune uses if you access the media file over the network browser.
