View Full Version : Webbrowser on Dune lite 53d?
I tried to get the webbrowser running on a Dune lite 53D, but didn't succeed.
Anyone knows if it is possible, and if so how?
Thanks.

I've got the same model and doesn't support Web Browser...
you can check the specs here: http://dune-hd.com/hd_players/current/148-dune-hd-lite-53d.html
Thanks, but if you look at the overview of the Dune products at:
http://dune-hd.com/index.php?do=players
It shows an Internet logo at this product and I would think that this indicates internet access. Or does it mean something else?

You're right, on the main screen indicates "internet", but checking Extra Functions doesn't indicate it...searching on different forums people say this model doesn't support web browser; so I am not sure what "internet" means in this case...
Like this, have you checked this player doesn't play Divx 5? The video codec specifications are: "MPEG2, MPEG4, XVID, WMV9, VC1, H.264", exactly the same as any other dune player which plays Divx 5... I can't understand why supports any other divx, xvid, mkv, etc but not divx 5... and I don't understand why they don't indicate it on the site.
Yeah, it is all a bit unclear.

Firmware version "110225_1222" plays DivX5 with no issues.
Last two ones do not (including "latest stable"). I do not know why.

Internet may refer to the fact that it perfectly supports IP-TV. I use it almost daily for my Kartina.TV internet TV subscription so I can tell you that the internet support works just dandy.
Latest BETA version has webbrowser included for the lite 53D.
It works on the latest BETA firmware but not very good.
