Hi:
I'm considering replacing my tvix S1, so i need options. The new player has to obey the following requisites:

1. Powered by 12V (external power supply), so i can use ti on the car
2. Composite video output (to be used on the car)
3. Support for internal 3,5" Hard Disk
4. Support for BDMV/BD-ISO structure (no full menu required) with external subtitles support
5. Option top choose the aspect ratio on the remote (i have some 4:3 titles and i prefer to stretch them to full screen)
6. Option to jump some seconds back/front on the movie (10s, 30s...any value) with a single key press on the remote
7. Able to play high bitrate mvk over the network without problems
8. Support my digital camera videos (Panasonic TZ-10, video format: AVCHD Lite, with BD structure).

With exception to the last 2 items(which i don't know if they support), i have almost 100% sure that this 2 players obey this requisites:

Mede8er 500x2
Himedia 900B

The mede8er has good feedback by here. The Himedia 900B is still unknown and firmware releases can be an inconstant. Also, i've read it does not support Portuguese characters on the subtitles (like ç for example). The mede8er uses almost the same chip the tvix, so it could be considered almost as outdated? Android and stuff like is not important to me. Also, i have no interest in 3D playback (no tv for support this and i don't like).

Any other suggestions? Or should i wait for the 2012 sigma 8090 chipset?

Regards.

Just to clarify :

Tvix S1 use 1283DD+ ship and Mede8er 500X2 uses 1185DD chip - for me are quite different .

Himedia HD900B is a good player, but the software still being developed.
Egreat R180/R200-IIplus is similar to Mede8er 500X2 and has stable software !

PS. Sigma 8090 chipset - what it is ?

Cheers !

Are the differences so big? Which chipset would you consider better?

The Egreat could be a good option, however, there are 2 problems to me:

1 - I can't find it on any store
2- I can't find the user manual online, so i can't check some of my required points.

Also, hi-jack did not give a much positive review to the R-200. What's the difference between the R-200 and the R-200 II ?

Sorry. I meant 8910 ;)
