DP508 MAC address

How can I find out the MAC address of the 508's ethernet port?

Hi Peterw...

First, go to a command prompt and ping the player...
Ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Then enter command:
arp -a

It will show you the mac address.
Most players also have a sticker on the back with the Mac Address on it :-)

The sticker on the back is 508020004D4

which does not appear to easily decode to a MAC. Is the 508 part of the number?

What you have there is not the MAC address. Do as Hi-Jack says, or just play a file for a few seconds then from a command prompt ("DOS window" if you prefer) type arp -a.

I did this not too long ago so I could set up a permanent DHCP lease for my Kiss player :)
