Hi,

the list still contains the link to the locked thread http://www.mpcclub.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=73 ,
and "FF/RW on MP3" ist listed twice as mandatory and annoying (should be only the former).

The Vidomi AVI extension for chapters in DivX should be supported (their Subtitles are not so important, since SRT works, but would also make life easier).

In addition to "Elapsed and Time Remaining function on LCD" I'd like to have the ability to display this information also in a corner of the screen, and for DVDs (and maybe some time DivX) I would like to choose between chapter and whole movie information.

And I still have occasional freezes when jumping or searching in DivX, which should be fixed.

Hi Roland,

I just send the list to KiSS so your additions have not been added yet.
It will be added to the next list we send to KiSS.

Welcome at the site btw.. :_0

Aspect ratio problem should be divided on 3 different issues :

1. Wrong aspect ration with Wide screens .

2. Wrong aspect ratio when scaling JPEGs.

3. Wrong aspect ratio when playing 16:9 VOBs.

In movies... no... :-)

Here some ideas :

* ability to select background image from harddrive or link library
* screensaver with images in library
* possibility to hear radio even when browsing hdd, meteo (sound cutting only when another source selected)
* most difficult : browsing .AVIs gives image/sound format and codec or better: compatibility with kiss ok or not
* onscreen display of the clock for any seconds by pressing remote (?) as with teletext (on AV my tv doesn't allow it)
* a link on /hdd/kml/index.php in the favorites for personal local kml page as tinysocks adds http:// and it doesn't work

If you had a php file on the KiSS player/hard drive, it wouldnt be served properly (like a web server). If you mean you have a local server doing this, you could just add the address with http://192.168.0.1/whatever and it'd work fine. Or if you add stuff to my favourites pages, the links are presented exactly as you input them.

Please add *.m2v to the codec missing/wish list.

Btw, shouldent this tread be a sticky :?:

This thread as well as bugs thread are "dead" until KiSS releases new firmwares , it should be a lot of changes there and KiSS is too busy now anyway , so when new firmwares arives we will check them and start anew .

Hi-Jack

Well, it's updated anyway.
Most things in blue have changed :-)

Not a bad idea to start all over iafter the release of Dp-558.
You was in charge of that right? :-)

Right , right  ,
really we got so much confusion right now so I am just waiting for new firmwares to do some "real" work.

just to say : *.m2v files work, you just have to rename them *.mpg

er.. it's not to my concerns right now since i got a dp-1000 recently and for some time i won't buy a better kiss but, why is a browser discarded from the features?

there is a very tiny browser that can do images called links (not lynx).

i guess sigma processors could handle it.

on networked models a browser would transform them into webtv machines too.

a pointer (think of a mouse but moved by the arrows) feature also would improve it. that also can't be such a load.

Right , right  ,

Yeah, some "real" work from RealNetwork (RM/RMVB file format) would be nice.

I'm sure KiSS is happy to offer these formats if they allow it at a reasonable price.
Same thing as for MOV files.

KiSS is looking into the MOV if Quicktime will cooperate.

I know, but im to lazy to rename them, and i also like to keep my file endings in the right format, and not having to make new sfv and other stuff.
And i dont think it shouldt be that big a problem for kiss to add it since it playes them fine when renamed :?

Btw, shouldt m2v not be in the list Hi-Jack :?:

Hi-Jack

yes it should... :-)
Added!
