Cool program to make NTSC into PAL?

Hi,

I just bought Weird Al Yankovic's UHF dvd from the states and, apart from being region 1 which was no major obstancle, it is also NTSC and my KiSS dp-500 refuses to play anything but the the menues.

Any help is much appreciateed - I need to make a copy of my disk which will play in my dp-500.

afaik the dp500 shouldn't have any problems with ntsc but maybem your tv doesn't like it.

you can backup your dvd to divx, xvid or another prefered videocodec and watch your movie like that. you'll find all the guides at videohelp.com (http://www.videohelp.com/dvdbackup#6;33), by searching this board or somewhere else on the internet with your favorite search engine. if you're too lazy to make the backup yourself i'm sure you'll find a copy with any p2p-software...i'm not sure but if you own the original it's legal to download a backup.

by the way, the movie you bought is great!

I think the problem is with my DP-500 -- the counter freezes and it does not react to anything but a cold boot. :-(
