firmware 2.7.6 for dp500?

Hi there,

Last thing we heard is that it should be available at the beginning of next week. We hear many runors though.

It will however support UDF and have a Clock by default.
Even more, they said many bugs would be fixed.

Of course we'd like to see that before we believe it.
We are not sure it will be 2.7.6 though, might as well be 2.7.5 or 2.7.8 since 2.7.6 is only a fix for cdda playback on Kiss dp-1000 wich by the way, does not fix the problem.

Hi all,

I realize I'm one of the few with NTSC, but I have managed to mod my DP-500 into a DP-508 succesfully and lod the weather "tinystocks" mod (modding the two http lines in the .iso 2.7.4 firmware file, and loading it only to find that the freaking weather site/service from tinystocks is down! Grrrr-anyone know what's up with that? any new weather site available?)

However, this site has some amazing mods.... I was looking to be able to FTP to the HDD/DP-508 unit and I see that is available but for PAL only...

Could someone post these super-firmwares (as seen in the top downloads) in NTSC format for the DP-508:

1)Biker-Enhanced Kiss DP-508 and DP-500 mod Firmware Romfs.bin

2)Kiss DP-508 PAL 2.74 Weather+FTP

I realize few of you have NTSC sets, but someone must have one or someone must be from a NTSC locale like me or someone could have the skill to gennerate the FW in NTSC format. I wanted to put the feelers out as to who might be able to post this, as it would be GREAT!

p.s. Did I mention... I have TWO DP-50x players(500 and 508, but the 508 is the one I REALLY use) these devices are superb, despite their bugs.

Wrote to tinystocks support to mention that their kiss weather link/url is down and posts the message "system down indefinitely due to hacking"
and they replied really quickly...
They said they will have it up within 24 hours.. that is, it might be up already now. letting you all know....
