I have been trying to get 50Hz native PAL output on either connection, but only 576i seems to be possible on component.

No progressive output at all with 50Hz PAL on 576P 720P or 1080i component or DVI.

Anyone has better results?

Seems that any of these modes have to be added to qualify as a PAL dvd player as well.

Now PAL playback is choppy on pans.. because of the 60Hz now used.

We tested a new FW release including the 50hz.
Though we not tried it, we know the setup offers 50hz selection for all
modes over DVI and component. Don't have the player here to check right
now...

Hi, we'll just have to wait for the firmware then.

What would be great is to have 50Hz/60Hz selection by a button.

Use 50Hz for pal dvd's, 60 Hz for film divx (looks better) and HD 30 frames sources.

Right now it might be awkward having to go through the setup menu just to play a different source.

Automatic selection might even be nice as well, a 60Hz output that jumps to 50 on PAL playback, many players do this..

Hi-Jack,

Do you have any idea when the release you have will be release to the general public?

Hi,
I second that. I recieved my Snazio yesterday, and I haven't been able to try out 576p over component! Has the firmware for 576p been released? I think it is overdue since it is part of the specification of this player
