Hi all,

We have sent a mail to Kiss for a little info.
Here's the mail about two questions we have...
(after the other hundred got answered, so look at the interview posted on the main page)

We cut out the introduction to the mail. so here goes..

01) Will Kiss provide support for a bigger font for seeing impared people?
I can understand this is difficult since two lines only are supported and making
it too big will cause text being outside the screen but with 1 or 2 points (25
or 26 instead of 24) would be a progress for some people i know having
difficulties with reading subtitles. The BOLD font is hardly a solution since
people get to see this as white little blocks.

02) We have tested the dp-500 thorrowly for the network disconnects and find
it's "not" a Kiss bug. It's actually due to the switches used and errors coming
from negotation between the Kiss and the Switch that goes wrong sometimes.
Would Kiss consider or have any plans on making additional network options so
auto negotiation is not forced but will be able to be set to the different
possibilities (half/full duplex, 10/100)

The site is going well triggering about 10.000 hits a day so we are groing
strong. I'll be soon contacting you again to see if we can catch some players for testing and review purposes.

I hope Kiss (or you) do know, that we are a neutral element, for Kiss and for the people! We have our own opinion and will defend it both ways based on truth and experience. I'm sure you noticed that in some of my replies on gooddvd and MpegPlayer.

Looking forward to hear from you.
Regards.

Just thanking again.

KISS-Tech today informed me that: 'At the moment I could only use Zoom.'
I replied back that: Zooming will 'eat' the beginning of each subtitle line,
as they could verify.

Hèlas.

Ok, i received the answer today...

About the fonrs...
Kiss doesn't think it will provide better fonts and i think it would be because if they make it bigger the subtitles will jump outside of your screen. (Which is also the case sometimes with the BOLD fonts available.
I'm sorry, but as it looks, it's a "No" but one never knows.

The networking issue's we've found with routers causing disconnections on DP-500...
They are glad to hear that it's not a bug in the Kiss but they don't know yet if they will provide the 10/100/hd/fd option.
That is good and bad at the same time.
They don't say yes, they don't say no!
