View Full Version : Round 1 KiSS Questions new DP-6xx products!
Have a questions about the new DP-6xx range...?
Post them in here...
By the end of the week, we will send them to KiSS.
Please make sure the questions have not already be answered:
These are the questions we already send to KiSS beside the 37 that already have gotten answered...
1: Will KiSS add OGM support on KiSS DP-6xx series.
Many users will buy the player if they support OGM support.
1a: If you will support OGM, will they support "built-in" subtitles ?
2: Will DivX Audio ever be supported in AVI files?
3: Will you support Multilanguage files and DivX subtitles ?
4: Will ASF format be supported? (Streaming "and" disk playback?)
5: Will you have SCART bypass (SCART input that bypass signal to SCART output when player in stand-by mode) on PLAYERS (DP-60x) , not just recorders ?
6: What is the size of Flash memory built in the new DP-6xx series?
DP-500 seems almost at it's limit.
7: Any plans on supporting DivX6 in the future. (Codename Q)
8: What about VP6 codec?
9: Will KiSS support resizable fonts (or 2 to 3 selectable sizes)
10: Will file sorting be on Alphabet for DP-6xx and others afterwards?
11: Will wav files be supported?
(LPCM and ADPCM) ? What about 5.1 WAV playback?
12: Will they support FLAC (lossless audio codec) playback ?
13: Will they support .APE (Monkey Audio lossless audio codec) ?
(minor but good to have)
14: Chip support AAC-LC audio , what about HE-AAC audio codec ?
15: How about Nero Digital Video Codec.
Nero is used worldwide by many people so this would be a good move.
16: Can KiSS and will KiSS implement Winamp playlists?
17: Will DP-6xx series ever support MP3 IDTags v2
It looks like Nero going on AAC-HQ sound http://www.cdfreaks.com/news/9369 , so what about this format ? :)
Also is DP-6xx series will be able to handle H.264 (non MPEG4 complient) video ?
Looks like this standard have a future and I will hate to get "DP-600 is MPEG4 only player" replyes from KiSS hotline about 1/2 year after I will buy DP-600 and H.264 will become a hit :)
For some questions, i'm sure it's too soon to ask :-)
New things developped today will surely not be supported from the beginning.
Lord_Kiron is on the move... :-)
