View Full Version : Seeing very strange track MP3 names via Twonky

I'm not sure if this is a Snazio or Twonky issue, so I'll post this in all relevant forums!

When I listen to MP3s via TwonkyVision media server (on NSLU2), where I'd expect to see MP3 track names, I instead see something llike this:

0389562.mp3?DNLA.ORG_PN=MP3;DNLA.ORG_OP=11;DNLA.OR G_ .....

The track listing within an album looks fine. It is only when a track is playing that this strange string shows at the bottom of the screen.

Does this mean anything to anyone? Is it likely there is some mis-configuration I need to correct somewhere?

Cheers,

Richard

Did you try reinstalling TwonkyVision and are u using V3.0?
Latest FW has been adapted for the latest version of TV!

Sorry - I should have mentioned that I did an install of the new TV 3.0 recently. It was`a complete install, but I didn't delete any of the old 2.9 files first....

I've only had my Snazio a few days, so have only used it since installing TV 3.0.

I've had the same problem with the older Snazio FW, and the brand new one.

Richard

I logged this as a bug on the Twonky web site, and they have closed the call with the following:

sorry - can not fix this as we have no influence on the client display. The client displays the URL of the server when it talks to a UPnP server :-(

So - is this a snazio bug?

Cheers,

Richard

Yes it's a Snazio bug!

You can open the folder where youre MP3's are stored.
When you clik on play at the remote the information is correctly displayed.

When you select a track and click on Enter the information is not correct displayed.

Ah - OK, not too serious then!

Dunno why I didn't try Play!
