Just got my snazio

Trying to get a wireless connection

It can see my Linksys WRT54G but it says no connection.

how can there be no connection if it can see it ????

If i was to manually enter the ip address, which one am i entering, the IP of the router or the ip designated to the snazio ??
Do i need to enter the subnet mask and if i do, what is it ??

Any other info would be great aswell

Thx

Paul

If your wireles uses WEP key, first select the Linksys router and then press the "Select" button. Snazio* will now reboot.

After reboot return to setup and insert WEP key! (Security)
Now it should work.

thx for the reply but i have not configured my wireless set up with any encryption. I know i should but i havn't.

Do you think it will only connect once WEP is sorted out or is there another reason for this.

I know the wireless works in the room where the Snazio is because my laptop works fine.

Any other thoughts

Paul

If you are using WEP don't forget the Snazio* expects the key in Hex 8O

On my Baffalo wireless router and Cardbus/PCI cards the WEP key is expected as a 13 character ASCII string so if yours is the same you will need to convert this ASCII string into its 26 character Hex string equivalent. Use this site to convert http://www.lookuptables.com/ to look up the HEX eqivalent of each character.

i.e. if your ASCII string is "I Love Snazio" then your HEX string is "49204C6F766520536E617A696F".
