My linktheater refused to play HD XVID from cd disk yesterday.

Files which I tried to play were following:

a)
Video: 1280 x 704 (1.82), 23.976, XviD MPEG-4 ~ 5100 kbps avg.
Audio eng: 48kHz, AC3 5.1 (L,R,C,l,r) + LFE ch, ~384.00 kbps avg.
Audio rus: 48kHz, AC3 5.1 (L,R,C,l,r) + LFE ch, ~384.00 kbps avg
Played first 5-7 seconds. Next 10-15 seconds were something as
slideshow with say 1-2 frames per second. Finally Linktheater hung up.

b)
Video: 1280 x 720 (1.800:1), 23.976, XviD 1.1.0-beta2, ~ 3682 kpbs.
Audio eng: english: 384kbps, 48khz, AC3-5.1 (L,C,R,rL,rR)+LFE;
Audio rus: russian: 384kbps, 48khz, AC3-5.1 (L,C,R,rL,rR)+LFE;
This played first 3-4 seconds then Linktheater hung up.

In both cases source for xvid was taken recorded transport stream 1080i HDTV

Who can tell what is wrong?

P.S
Linktheater's firmware is european, version - latest via upgrade.

Check for Bitstream using MpegModifier.
The second file ( XviD 1.1.0-beta2) might have issues with support by LT. What changed in beta2?

Enjoy

>What changed in beta2?
I do not know

Main question was: Should LT play listed files in principle?

Impossible to check Bitstream
MpegModifier tell me that OpenDML AVI are not supported

problem is solved
Avimux made files non-OpenDML and all is working now
