If I want to put a HD in it and don't want to take it out, do I need additional hardware next to the standart DVX700? I mean, do I need the bracket or can I just put the HD in and let it stay there. Also, how do I transfer content onto the drive if I want to keep it in there. Do I use some kind of FTP or maybe drag and drop to some network folder?

No FTP is available.
For filling the disk you will have to take it out.

U need the Slider for DVX-700 to insert the hard Drive (19 Euro)

Hello!

Does the Transgear DVX700 plays WMV HD directly from DVD or do I have to use my PC and a streaming software (Microsoft DRM)?

When I use the Hack - can I play DVD via DVI with high resolutions (720p/1080i)?

With the hack you can play dvd at full resolution (up to 1080i) over DVI.
WMV DRM is not played directly from the player, like the Snazio it will need
the use of PC Software.

You say that you have tried to use a HACK for the DVX-700.

Which hack do you mean? Please tell me the hack so I can test it as well.

Can't you guys read! it's in the first post in this forum :x

Anyway is there anyone out there who actually HAS this player and can sucessfully play R1 dvd's and output through DVI at 720p? i'd really like to hear from ya!
