Hi,
what is the maximum bitrate for a divx-file or mpeg-file, when I will stream it from my NSLU2 without stuttering?

Well... take the speed which the player can get (DP-558 is low, verry low) e.g. 15 Mb/s. Take 30% off for overhead and other stuff and you will get a value which is very close to the actual maximum bitrate which can be played.

So for most DP-558 users it will be around 10-12 Mbit/s.

So normal mpg-files from DVD (max. 9 Mbit/s IIRC) should be no problem. And - as always - KiSS is responsible for that :P
