can please anyone, who owns a 600, confirm that kiss 600 can load and play video files from an external Hard disk via its USB 2 port ? there are many out in the market that can read only audio files (usually mp3s) but unable to play video files...thanks m8s

USB devices: works excelent. I use Lacie USB HD's.
wired connect: with fw 3.0.14 it works like a dream. I use PC link and win media connect on my computers.

The only thing with USB devices is that I get a quite strange sort order on my MP3 files.

yep I'm going for the same brand drive with both usb and ethernet...but I'm afraid for the video files...from kiss 600.
If my kiss 1500 cannot be set up to read directly from lacie (via ethernet direct connection though no router) I'll go buy the 600...

I have an Archos Gmini400 Multimedia-Player with 20gb and all files (video, audio, pics) are working with the back usb port !

I have a 300 Gb Maxtor II onetouch. Plays well. Make sure the external harddisk has a power supply. External harddisks without one do not work on the Kiss
