Hi there,

Is there already someone working on a Winamp (v2 or v5) plugin for playing the files on the dp-5xx? Or is there already such a plugin?

What I mean is that you see the dp-5xx content in the Winamp Playlist. Must be possible. Perhaps something for the guy who wrote EZLink?

Greetz,

Hendrik

Yip... is a cool idea..
I'll talk to FcLage about it and see if we can cooperate on this...

I thought some of this was already going on somehow...
I'll look around for some info about this and get back to this thread in a couple of days...

I'am not a technical, but is it possible to add your own URL's to the favorites.
For example non-MP3 broadcastings. ASX or realplayer.
shortly: play various formats with the KiSS, almost the same as the winamp player.
I'am curious where the of possibilities of such a equipment ends.

thx Kissert

Hi Kissert,

You can add any URL you wish to the KiSS favorits as long as these pages are KML pages (KiSS Markup Lanuage).
Everything you feed the KiSS must be supported by the player and be served in KML.

The URL I want to listen only supports Windows mediaplayer. Its a .htm url.
I was wondering if it is possible to listen to this format with my KiSS.
Just adding the URL is not enough.
If this would be possible it would open a new world for me.
I would be very thankfull if someone could help me with this.
If I knew how to, I could contact them and ask to do modifications so that more people can listen.

Kissert...

If it's a stream as "like the webradio" it is possible to rewrite a page in KML that uses this webradio stream.
I'm sure someone will have an idea to get you started.
FcLage maybe. Try a little PM.

Sorry I hate to inform you of this, while it is true you can link to any url with KML. If the player starts downloading the stream and runs it through the mediaplayer but the format is not supported (as in the case of asx - which is just a asf/wmv container) then your player will crash.

If the data stream is in a format that the player can support then it should be fine.

So just so you know here are the format I have personally tested via KML and found NOT to be working.

1) .ASF/ASX
2) .WMV
3) .OGM (Container for Ogg, Divx, Xvid) - The player will not play any stream contained in the format.
4) Nullsoft TV (.NSV)
5) Realplayer (any format)

I was wondering if there is any progress in this area?
Is it possible to see Internet TV on KiSS?
