I'm thinkin of invest in some new equipment
but I need some help.

Background info I have my computer in the kitchen
and router in walking closet and I sleep in the living room where I also watch TV , DVD and listens to music.

So I have a idea about a solution.
On the computer I can convert DVD and music and store it on
a NAS in the closet and play the content bouth on computer and
on a media player in the livingroom witout any disk noises.
I dont need any HD movis capability at the moment but want to
invest for the future.
I dont want to install any sharing/streaming software on my computer.

My planned hardware.
TVIX M-4000U (dont like design of M-5000A)
NAS witch shoud I select ??? D-LINK DNS-323 or FREECOM FSG-3 or
Synology DS-106 or some else (this is the real question) witch is best in
some diffrent ways, uppgradeable, performance, function (HD stream) and price and so on. :?:
Mabe that function is the most important :D

I want a NAS solution so the computer can be working against the
"media disk" at night when I sleep without any disk noices. :(

I know there is tests in this site but there is more products on market now.
And I have searched the forum but cant find any strait answers.

We did not test all the products :-)
NAS, you probably want 1 disk solution which is capable of serving media to
the TViX. Any NAS would be able to do that as the TViX works over shares
so you can pick any you like based on your budget.

Considering you put everything in your closet, go for the smallest one so
you still have some room for your clothes :-)

The one most supported by MPC: Maxtor Shared Storage and Synology
Different type solution: NSLU2
