1. I have read that M5000 now displays thumbnails when browsing your photo directory, is this true? if so how do I find that feature. I have latest firmware 1.9.5 and when I open my photo directory I do NOT see thumbnails.

2. When playing audio, in the case of CDs which have been transferred to MP3/WMA, is there anyway to disable the display of album cover. Using Windows Media Player 10, I have transferred all my CDs over time, most of them have automatically loaded a low res (small) JPG and a higher res JOG off the net, in to the same directory. When Playing the album, the M5000 flashes the low res / hi res pics alternatively which I find very very distracting. Can this be disabled? or do I simply have to delete all the JPEGS in my music collection.

4. I have DVI output connected to my LCD TV, and would simultaneously like the SVID output to go to another device. Before I go and buy a Y/C cable can i check is this possible? according to the set-up menu it implies you can either output Component / DVI OR Composite / YC, but I want to output DVI and Y/C simultaneously. Tell me it is possible and I will buy a Y/C cable.

5. When I open my Audio folder, I see all my CD collection which I have transferred to MP3s/WMA overs the last year. Its about 300 CDs. They appear in alphabetical order according to Aritst Name which is the same way Windows sorts them. No problems there. The M5000 displays 10 folders on the screen, but with more than 300 artists if I want to listen to e.g. "Yello", it is a lot of scrolling down to find the folder.

Can I either a) "page down" if so I cannot find how

or b) use alphanumeric to jump sofor example in the case above when I want to listen to Yello, could I not press button "9" / WXYZ, and expect the M5000 to leap to first folder beginning with W, and then I could scroll from there.

Thanks forum members for any support with these questions.

Hello,

latest sw would be the 1.9.8A which is a beta.
Thumbnails for photos is nothing I have heard of.
You can create thumbnails, or icons as its called, and it will display it instead of the file names. You'll have to search for the "icon mode" feature,
on how to activate it. I guess that if you use that feature you can create these icons also for photos.
This should apply also for 1.9.5.

Have you tried the >>| button on the remote?
I vaguely remember that it jumped a page....

5b is an excellent suggestion. Why don't you register at Tvix and request the feature?
