Importing iPad from US: Yes but...

Importing the iPad from the US, it seemed such a great idea. Although the device is "awesome" and will become even better once multitasking is enabled in iPhone / iPad OS4, there are limitations like the in-app purchases failing and the iTunes store failing on the device... Belgium is behind once again... We are allowed to purchase overseas but should not expect the device working properly. It's a similar "black hole" as with region protected DVD's... Yes you can import these overseas but you can't play them on your region 2 protected DVD player...
