By accessing MPC Club Community Board you are agreeing to the following terms and rules which are designed for the protection of the community as a whole and to prevent abuse, conflict and disharmony within the forums. Unlike some forums, registration at MPC Club Community Board is free while offering a paid alternative for some extra benefits amonghst which commercial free browsing. It is forbidden to use MPC Club with AdBlockers being active and we reserv the right to refuse service or prevent access to our resources if any AdBlockers are to be found on your system, preventing our adds from being displayed in any shape or form.
Once registered you become a registered member of MPC Club Community Board, not a Premium member. Registration allows members the privilege of participating within MPC Club Community Board by posting comments, creating new thread discussions and being able to buy or sell items in the forums withouth commercial intent. Take note, your membership is in no way a contract nor a guarantee of participation at MPC Club, either at registered or Premium level. |

MPC Terms of Use
MPC Coverage:
MPC Club Is revising coverage of brands starting early 2010. MPC no longer targets to include all products but make a selection of those brands that are worth spending time one and concentrate on those ones rather than "all of them". The fixed brands covered mainly in 2010 will be PCH, DviCo, Mede8er, QNAP, Synology, Thecus, Promise, NetGear, HDI, Bollo, Novatron, A.C.Ryan and Conceptronic / 2L. Other and newly launched products may or may not be added in their own forums as main target or general subjects. All other brands and products belong in the "generic" sections like General Media Players or General Storage devices. (existing forums of brands not targeted as main core at MPC will move into the general sections early January)
1) We ask of our users some form of respect for what we do? Users of MPC shall never attack MPC or any of it's leaders and moderators either here or on any other board. Accounts will be suspended immediately for any insinuations regardless of registered member status or Premium. We will never accept such conduct in any way of form. Every attack to our credibility which is unfunded and untrue or insinuations will result in an immediate ban from our pages. If you don't like us or trust us, then you should not be using our board and services in the first place.
2) No "Flaming"
You will not post any messages to the forum or send by PM (private messages) that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member, guest or reseller / manufacturer. Everything is allowed to be said but in a constructive manner. Any breach of this rule where we feel the post is nonconstructive and flammability, will result in a temporary ban.
3) No "Trolling"
You will not post any topic that disrupts the peace and harmony of this forum. Don't create meaningless threads with the sole purpose of starting a dispute or personal vendetta from another forum where you are banned or service providers that not offer you the support you'd expected. This includes messages in profiles, avatars, and signatures. Do not argue your point over and over again and hold other readers hostage to pay attention solely to your message.
4) No "Spamming"
You will not double post or cross-post the same message in multiple forums. You will not mass-PM or mass-email multiple members of this site the same message. You will not post any thread for the sake of increasing your post count or hack count.
5) No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images
You will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or otherwise violative of any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.
6) No Self-Promotion
Members will not post any messages anywhere on this site that are primarily for the promotion or advertising of any website, forums, email address, business, MLM, activity, or other entities that you have an affiliation with (ie. no self-promotion). Additionally Self-Promotion links will no longer be allowed in your signature. This is intended for commercial establishments that try to advertise on MPC without going through the proper process. Regular users are allowed within reason to post links if it purposes the discussion. In no way threads should be started for the sake of posting a link to external data or groups started on players like Yahoo, web sites etc... and threads created should include proper explanation or introduction of what is behind the link. DO NOT USE MPC as a source for gathering users, you will be immediately banned for 7 days on a first warning and permanent on a following breach of this rule.
7) No Public Posting of Copyright Material
You will not upload, attach or post any material you are not the creator and/or copyright holder of. It is however acceptable to post links to publicly accessible material.
8) Be NICE to one another!
MPC has a worldwide membership coming from many different backgrounds, offering an unlimited number of viewpoints. Treat each other with civility and respect. Rude remarks, and worse, have no place here.
9) No Shouting!
MPC takes proper language very serious so there will be no shouting or posting titles with CAPITALS mostly. Make normal and descriptive titles for your posts, which keeps the forums readable for other users. All posts should be made properly with correct titles and content.
10) No "artificial" petitions
You will not post any messages to the forum that purposes a gathering on a single brand for flaming on their services or reaction towards you. It's very hard for people to see the truth behind any such claims. Any artificial posts that are gathered for a "petition style" reaction from others, will be removed / locked. There will always be leaders and followers... regardless the subject so there will always be people with good experiences and bad experience where most people with bad experiences find the forums. So such posts have no real value in offering a "general" opinion...
What happens if I break a rule?
Breaking these rules will trigger an infraction from the board admin or moderators and this takes away some points from your reputation up here or can be simply limited to a warning. Once you go below an acceptable reputation, your account is automatically banned for a temporary period or permanent depending on the infraction severity. An infraction can be discussed via PM where a thread is automatically created upon delivering an infraction to the user.
If you get a PM (private message) from an administrator or moderator, please give it careful consideration. The administrators and moderators of MPC have the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread, post or posted image. Administrators and moderators may modify or end (ban) membership privileges at any time, for any breach of the rules or for any other reason with or without warning or notice. If a member is banned, it is always generally with announcement or acknowledgment.
What if I see a message posted that breaks a rule?
Please report these posts or threads to the administrator or moderator of the forum by clicking on the "Report" link at the bottom of the offending post or thread, and the post or thread will be reviewed and action taken as soon as possible.
What is my responsibility as a member?
Please keep these rules in mind when you post. The administrators and/or moderators have the right to change these rules at any time without notice. It is the responsibility of every member to remain updated with the current rules. For the rest it's practically just enjoy being here.
Why have rules in the first place?
The rules are there for the protection of the community as a whole and to prevent abuse, conflict and disharmony within the forums.
What if I don't agree to these terms of use?
You are welcome to contact us and have your account removed. |
| Club Membership (Premium Membership) |
| All Premium Memberships are provided as a way of donation in exchange for some extra abilities. These memberships at MPC Club Community Board, if taken temporary will not be renewed automatically however you will be notified when these will expire... Premium Membership are in no way a "right to use MPC Club Community Board" and break the rules as you please.
MPC Club Community Board does rely on revenues from sponsors and it's members to stay up. That being the case, Premium Memberships will be accepted as form of a donation only. Former Premium Membership members from the old portal have kept their status thrughout the move and may retain their Club Icon showing support for the forum in the growth days.
Premium members can win prizes on MPC. Rules apply that sometimes shipping charges will be on the winner's and will be mentioned. For shipping, details will be requested using the registered mail account at MPC. If for any reason, this mail is invalid, you wil loose the validity of receiving your price. We don't ask much, but to enter a serious mail address at MPC due to our special commitment of interacting with you. |
