yaDIS (yet another Dune Indexer and Skinner) has been developped in order to provide a fast, light and simple way to index and skin a movie and tv show library on HDI Dune multimedia players.

I just processed my movie library and noticed quit a lot of the films were found, does Yadis 2 only search in Cine Passion?
The error I get is that the file was not found in Ciné Passions database.

I'm running Windows 7 x64, and installed Microsoft .NET 4 as you suggested. (Although I thought I had it installed initially, so I installed and ran Yadis without doing the .NET installation. When I ran into this error, I installed .NET 4, but still have this error.)
It comes up when viewing the results of the first movie I processed.

Yes, send me the exception details and the name of the movie you processed.
Try another movie to check if the exception occurs everytime or not.

Thank you very much for the hard work. I have been playing around with Zappiti the last two weeks (just got my dune Smart H1) and I like the concept very much!
The interface of this version looks very user friendly. However I do have a problem with identifing the movie files. I have one folder where all movies are located, some of them are ISO, some of them are MKV's, some of them are extracted Bluray's. Zappiti is quite good in auto-detecting the movie's, but this new version of yadis is failing on a big part of my collection.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is the link to the source not good at the moment?
Can I choose the source? (moviemeter.nl?)

Don't know if I have the same error but i also get an Object reference not set to an instance of an object error. This happens when I have the movie Fountain (The) selected and move my mouse over the listview with all the movies. It doesn't matter where I enter the listview.
I am also running Windows 7 x64 with .net 4 already installed.
I will pm the details.

What do you mean by identifying?
Are the files missing in the yaDIS UI or are the information about the movies/tv shows not found?
In the second case, it would be useful if you send some examples of the names (either file or folder).
I think the database which will be used is defined by the language defined in the options of yaDIS.

The more you name correctly your movies, the more you obtain good results.
Do not hesitate to visit the Ciné-Passion website to check the movie names.
babylon AD: "Babylon A.D." or "Babylon A D" works fine.
the big blue: "Le Grand Bleu" works fine.
bram stokers dracula: "Bram Stoker's Dracula" works fine.

Sorry I was not clear enough. What I mean is that the movies are all displayed in the overview, but the covers and text information can not be gathered, also not after manual entry sometimes. I tested it at Dutch and English, both the same results, is it reffering to the French database only at the moment? Maybe that's reason my movies in English can not be found...? It seems to be searching in the Ciné-Passion database.
In Zapitti most of them are found, sometimes I have to add quotes around the search term there, but here they use IMDB.

How can i change the title manualy? The Film "The Godfather" in german "Der Pate" is tagged automatic with the title "Pate, Der" . If i change the Title in "Der Pate" an click apply, yadis change it back to "Pate, der"
Is it possible that yadis use the wrong field for the title at ofdb.de ? He doesn't found "Für immer Shrek" but using manualy "Shrek Forever After" yadis pick up the the right informations. what is my fault?

do you try to process you for one file? or search manually with a right mouse click at the movie? Are the film in the databse which is used for your lanugage? Try to search manually for the name like it is in the webdatabase like "Godfather, The"

I noticed that after conversion of my workspace folder the actors information is lost for all movies. If I try to reload the movie information, the actor details are not found (text box remains blank). Any idea what is happening? Thnx

This is the first time I reply. Up to now I have been a very happy yadis user. I've been really looking forward to the 2.0 release. But... Now I've tried to use it and while exporting yadis stopped and didn't do anything. I've stopped the process and when I restarted the program I've lost 3 quarters of all my TV shows. They were installed on my internal hard drive of my dune 3.0 base and I've lost the majority of my shows and I can't retrieve them; they're gone. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but you should really be careful with what you do. I'm really pissed 'cause I've lost almost a terabyte of data!

This is because you choosed to put your Dune interface in the same location of your medias.
Did you read this warning message ?

Ive done something wrong. When i select a movie to play i get a Failed to open url. In the Set up ive added my movie folder with isos(one folder with all the isos) My Dune interface location i made a separate folder that says interface.

It's not clear to me at all. I've lost everuthing! It's probably my own bloody mistake, but what should I have done? On my hard disk there is (was) a folder named tv shows. I've tried to export the contents to the main directory of the hard drive. When I did this with the former version it created a yadis icon for the hard drive which was fully functional. I thought I was doing the same thing now. what was the thing to do in this case? I'm sorry for being so dumb. I am gratefull, but I'm also very angry, but at myself of course! :(

(not for any of my 189 movies).
Information for Directors is added, but not for the cast.

In order to get yaDIS 2.0 running on your PC, there is only one pre-requisite: Microsoft .Net Framework 4
Important note regarding the installation of yaDIS 2.0 over 1.0 Beta 3:
If you already have the version 1.0 Beta 3 installed, please do a backup of your workspace folder. After that, uninstall 1.0 Beta 3. Finally, install the version 2 in the same directory of version 1.0 Beta 3.
At first launch, the old workspace will be automatically migrated. After the migration, all your medias will be marked as not processed. This is normal, just process them again. No worries, it is fast and you will keep the modifications you made.

Mhmm, but what about german movies which do not have any english or french title? Is this workflow just temporary implemented and will be changed in the future or will Cine-Passion always be the basis for Yadis?

Oops i wont be loved by the family now.
I also accidentally deleted all the TV series (about 20 or so and a lot with multiple seasons +- 1.2TB).
Somehow when i tried to restore the workspace folder it didn't read it so i started manually adding all the titles again.
I started with movies and have 40% done or so.
When i opened Gangs of New York i had an app crash and had to reconfigure the setup again and that's where it probable went wrong with the TV series.
I clicked to fast and didn't read the warning.
Also i can not add the movie directory again because it will give me an error that it will erase that folder also.
Anybody got a tip on how to recover 1.2TB with Series ?

yeah, thats a bit tricky. i realised it as i tried to scrape Zurück in die Zukunft. i also edited the original title to back to the future but nothing happened. do i really have to use the original titles at the folders?

Then the english title would be the german ;)
Like "Das weisse Band", yadis found the movie correctly! But it would be a great feature if yadis is searching for the german title too.
is it possible to integrate an identifying of the movie with the imdb id?

ja mußt du oder du machst es mittels rechter Maustaste auf den Film -> ändern und gibst in das Feld den Orginal Titel ein.
