Default Folders in Twonkey Media 4.4.5

Hmm how should i explain this?

I have 4 folders on my ts-509 with different kind of movies (xvid, dvdīs, musicvideos etc). And they are added in twonkeyvision 4.4.5

But the 4 folders donīt show as just 4 folders in the kiss gui, they are mixing the content of some folders with the other folders.

I have tried all kind of configurations but no luck

Maybe someone has an idea ?

Btw, how do i update twonkeyvision ?

You can update twonkyvision the same way you installed it if an update is available

Twonky is a UPnP server that creates a DB of the content you have it scan, it
does not build a directory structure as is but combines all media it finds into a
database...

I'm not a big user of Twonky (hate it cannot support subtitles on movies and lacks support for several formats) but last time I checked there is no directory browsing.

Hello.

It was pre-installed on my ts-509.
I used to run EZ-Link on my PC, and it was great.

What do you recomend instead of Twonkey?

I assume you have a KISS player at the other end. If so, I would install kissdx on the QNAP-TS509, as I did. See http://www.mpcclub.com/modules.php?n...wtopic&t=14450 for detailed instructions (use the IPKG install-method). For automatically loading I added two lines in the file /opt/Optware-ipkg.sh after the symlink definitions.

/bin/echo "Enable Optware/ipkg"
# sym-link $QPKG_DIR to /opt
/bin/rm -rf /opt
/bin/ln -sf $QPKG_DIR /opt
# kissdx is installed..
/opt/etc/init.d/S83kissdx
