On the PC, I use Nero Speed to limit the reading speed to 4x, which works perfect even for very high bit-rate mkvs and no spinning noise whatsoever.
Is it possible to find if the player can limit the reading speed for external DVD drives?
Thanks a lot

Hi there dear user ,
to answer to your question the player sees the dvd player as an external usb device and at this point there's no ability to reduce the speed od the dvd-player threw the Playon ...
my suggestion to you is try to watch a movie first and see if you can hear any noise at all , on my behalf when i have qood quality movies i always turn on my amplifier and as far as i am concerned theres no noticeable noise from the Playon or any device connected to it , but theres A LOT of noise going to my neighbors from my house .... if you know what i mean
